Does anyone have any good pointers on :-

1) Optimising a Sun Solaris machine
2) Optimising Oracle 8.1.7.0.0.

With regards to point 1, I don't have the exact hardware spec at hand. All I do know is that it has 2 Gig of RAM.

Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.
