Are you getting errors because you TEMP tablespace is too small? Temporary space is no longer deallocated it is simply reused. If you have large sorts occuring it is quite possible that the temp tablespace will show a large allocation.
BTW You've posted in the wrong forum, post in the database administration forum for more responses.
