Invoked by "COMPRESS n" in CREATE INDEX, multi-column keys like
"AAAAA,BBBBB,CCCCC", "AAAAA,BBBBB,DDDDD", "AAAAA,BBBBB,EEEEE"
are stored like:
"AAAAA,BBBBB,CCCCC", ",,DDDDD", ",,EEEEE"
I've no idea of the value of the space/performance trade off . . .
