What you need to understand for this exam is the way things work together in Oracle.

Understand the order for tuning: DAMICO (design,application,etc)

Tuning SQL.
What is in the shared pool, the buffer cache, the log buffer and how do you tune these structures.
Tuning I/O.
Tuning Contention


There are also 'practical' questions presenting some sort of problem for which you have to find the correct answer.

And also there are the well known questions which after reading five times I still not understand or the right answer is missing (imho).
If you know your stuff it's not a hard exam
