Morning Folks,

I think I'm missing something here, probably several cups of coffee.

When recovering to alternate location because of a media failure, Oracle B&R says "Mimic incomplete recovery using ALTER DATABASE RECOER DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL" but cancel before appling any logs.

Is this step something to do with re-synchronisation of the database files or have I lost the plot here?

Bit of a worry since the exam is on Monday!

Any help much appreciated.
