i know about the process memory limit on Win NT of 2GB and the possibility of the /3GB switch. however, i was under the impression that Windows 2000 Server (and advanced server) could allocate much more memory to a process. when my oracle process hits 2GB, i still get ORA-04030 errors (though i'm running win2k advanced server).

can someone clarify ? do i have to in fact add the /3GB switch and take action on the .exe with imagecfg utility even though i'm on win2k?
