Reading alone not enouh if you don't get your hand on it. From the point there, you want to know about SCSI, Volume Management system etc etc. I suggest that you try search on http://www.google.com first and go from there. You also could refer to online manual by running this command at UNIX prompt:

"man mount" to get more info on mountpoint.

Usualy the software that you install come with documentation.

Try any unix forum available where people share information between each other.
