I have small doubt please clear it off...

While taking hot backups, where the data will be write ?

It writes in DB Cache,Redo Buffer cache then Redo log files. Is the process correct ? In addition, it writes changed blocks of data files(which is in backup mode) to redo log files instead of just row information. is it correct ? then

Where store the old value and new value ?

Need clarification...please....
