I just finished installing designer 6i (non-versioning, tutorial doesn't work). I work on the database side and don't have much experience designing a database from start to finish, exspecially with tools like this one.
I need to learn how to use Designer 6i. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of material on Designer 6i.
I have one book Oracle Designer, second edition from Oracle Press 1999.
What are the initial steps or topics I should cover. The contents of this book are overwhelming.
I was a heavy Designer 1.3.2. When I changed jobs I've been working on getting Designer 6i inhouse. However the only training or training material I've ever found has been under Oracle Education website.
Designer software comes with tutorial and it gives prettymuch all the preliminary concepts that you need to design a system.
You have to explicitly install this tutorial after installing the designer by importing the tutorail file. Browse Installation guide for installing tutorial.
