Thread: ora-01157 and ora-011110, ODMA_RBS.DBF

    Post 8.0.5 to 8.1.7 migration, I am getting the following message when attempting to open the db.

    Note that the data file 7 in the D:\ path, does not exist, thus it can't be opened.

    Should the installer have created the ODMA rbs datafile as a default?

    error message:

    ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 7 - see DBWR trace file
    ORA-01110: data file 7: 'D:\ORACLE\ORA81\ASSISTANTS\DBMA\ODMA_RBS.DBF'

    Check trace file. If this was a db created upon installation of Oracle, then I wonder if there was a glitch/hiccup. Uninstall and then reinstall.
