I have an Oracle package which needs to extract data from a remote SQL Server. I have been given a login, password, and IP address to the SQL 7 Server and need to establish connectivity. How do I go about this? Thanks

You need a piece of software called Transparent Gateway by Oracle. It will allow you to see your sqlserver database as an oracle database.

    Unhappy

I have recently seen some traffic, if not here then on other boards, about using ODBC from Oracle (may PL/SQL) to access SQL Server. Is there anyone who can tell me where to look for more info on this? Or who will give an overview of how?
