Hi everyone,
When I was in Oracle class, I was taught that there were only
2 users, SYS and SYSTEM, after you create a database. I notice
after my co-worker creates a database in UNIX, it shows 5 users which are
1. SYS
2. SYSTEM
3. DBSNMP
4. OUTLN
5. TRACESVR
My questions are:
1. Is it common?
2. What are the last 3 mean?

If you have metalink access, you could find detail explanation of those users,
OUTLN: Note:1071358.6
The OUTLN user is created automatically during installation of Oracle8i. This user has DBA privileges.
Oracle8i adds the OUTLN user schema to support Plan Stability. The OUTLN user
acts as a place to centrally manage metadata associated with stored outlines....
DBSNMP: Note:1047670.6
DBSNMP ACCOUNT CREATED BY DEFAULT FROM V733 ONWARDS
This is normal operation. From 7.3.3 and higher, the DBSNMP database user will
be created automatically for the Intelligent Agent.
TRACESVR: docid: 164367.999
The TRACESVR schema is typically created during installation of Oracle Enterprise Manager. It is used internally by Oracle Trace.
