    Question

    Any one please help

    SERVER :-

    Hardware - Compaq prolaint 400 P-III.
    RAM - 256 MB
    HDD - 12 GB (3x4GB RAID)
    SWAP - 800 MB
    OS - SCO UnixWare 7 release 7.1.1 - 50 user
    RDBMS - Oracle 8i release 8.1.5.
    Config. - Multi Master Replication - Master Definition Site Server

    SITUATION :-

    When any user wants to connect to Oracle that is already handling some Connections.

    ERROR At Server :-

    Dynamic Linker: OracleGSL: can not set protection on segment of 0x12579a1 at 0xbed06000.

    Details :-
    GSL - Database SID.
    'OracleGSL' -- is the Process being initiated by Oracle while establishing a connection to the server. In spite of this Error, for the Users who are already
    connected, it works fine. But Once the Error appears, it doesn't allow any other connection to the machine.-- eof.

    Looks like a problem with not enough memory. Check your alert log for more detail. $ORACLE_BASE/admin/SID/bdump/alert_sid.log

    Need more information from alert log.
