ora - 12154

Hi

I configured a tns name thru net8 configuration tool(windows nt,oracle 8i version).
After creating tnsname ,using test i am able to succedd.
but when i connect thru sqlplus it flashes this error like
ora - 12154 tns cannot resolve service name.


does anyone help me out?



Tnsnames.ora,sqlnet.ora,listener.ora under
oraclehome\network\admin\ directory.

I am able to succeced the test at confiquration tool.But not thru sql prompt.This configuration is at Server.

Are you trying to connect at the server thru SQL*PLUS? If not, you'll need to configure your TNSNAMES.ORA at the client also.

I AM TRYING AT SERVER SQL PLUS PROMPT.
WHEN I TRY TO START SVRMGRL ,I GET TNS ADAPTER ERORR
