    Hi,

    Is there any different Oracle8i version is available for Solaris Intel Version or Solaris spaarc version can be user?.

    I think the Oracle support can answer yr question the best.
    There Nothing You cannot Do, The problem is HOW.

    Hi,
    I checked the metalink site and it shows that 8.1.5. version is supported on solaris intel.

    Has anybody used this version on solaris (Intel) and how good is it in terms of stability and handling very large databases.

    I have not installed it but, you are right and SUN claims intel and sparc versions are binary compatible and main difference is with device drivers support.

    It should work and if at all with some pit falls and needs to have Oracle support to resolve.
