Hi all, I have a question to ask all of you here. Im working for a rather large company, as a result, the DBA job duties are spreaded out among several groups within the IT department. Most of my duties are DBA-related tasks(monitoring, tuning, managing the tablespace)..however i don't do backup & recovery (although I know how to do B & R)...should i consider myself as an Oracle DBA? What is the typical DBA job out there? Do you do everything from a to z. Thanks

But if would u , i would always love to see what my company has plan for Backup & Recovery , and make some input.

Re: You are a DBA !
Hi,
DBA's job vary from company to company.
For big organization Job may be distributed as in your case.
In small organization DBA may have all responsibilities related to computer. There is no fix parameter for DBA
Thanks
