    Hi,

I have a program that relies on finding any java virtual machine upon installation. If a system has Oracle client 8.1.x installed,
my installation program does not find the JVM's. But if Oracle 8.0.x is installed their is no problem?

So what I would like to know is what is the difference (maybe with the java) between 8.0.x and 8.1.x?

I can't find any documentation that will list new features of 8.1.x compared to 8.0.x? I've tried looking at release notes at oracle's site and have found nothing that helps. They don't really list new stuff.

Anyone know of any sites with this info or maybe someone knows what's going on?

8.1.x has the Java VM included. Also you can do XML thru SQL queries.

8.0.x has no Java VM. No XML
