    Sorry Friends!
thanks for your replies! Unfortunately I cld'nt pick them up.

Well, At this contract where I work I might have to use javastored procedures , but I'm not sure when and where to use it over PL/SQL stored procedures. Besides this is a hot area and I cld'nt find any study materials on this.

Please share ur experiences if possible

    Cheers

    Hello

As per your query regarding where to use java stored procedure over pl/sql,
To give u an example :In my organization we wanted to use host command to delete a file, but that's not possible from pl/sql, but u can do that through java stored procedure.

    Good Day!
Hope all of you had a good weekend !

Continuing with Java in Oracle server. I'm still not convinced why java should exist within Oracle Database there by making it necessary to have more RAM.

If not java stored procedures, Is it SQLJ which would improve oracle performance ? Can we do away with Pro *C with SQL J.

If someone can see the benefit having Java with in oracle 8i please let me know. Please do share your commercial experiences on this front.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Do u know u can store java application inside your Oracle 8i database. So can have both application & database in one server.

The URL given by kmesser is a good one.
