Thread: How to solve Incomplete CheckPoint ?

    Hello,

    I found that during large-scale import session, my Oracle8i Database in SUN platform cannot checkpoint successfully.

    Extract from alert log..

    Checkpoint not complete
    Current log# 5 seq# 704101 mem# 0: /u01/oradata/misadmin/redo0201.log
    Tue Mar 20 10:33:27 2001

    We have 3 large redo online log files. Each of redo log size is 100M. We are running NOARCHIVELOG mode.

    When the checkpoint not complete appear in the alert log file, the IMPORT session seem hang and wait some time to continue. (I used FEEDBACK=1000) to display progress of import.

    Any method/solution to solve above problem?

    add another group of redo log, although 100MB of three group seems large but it seems like it's not for your import.
