    Which is faster:
    export and import or
creating a text file and using direct mode in SQL Loader?

    Of Course, Import and Export.
    1- Easy
    2- Much faster
3- You can use the Import and Export Even with fresh Data, but for Loader you may have to create the File again and again.

    Thanks

As Oracledba8 has stated exp/imp would be faster and efficient. One other point I would like to add over to this is using the exp with DIRECT=Y would have a considerable improvement on the imp speed.

DIRECT=Y in exp will result in speed improvement *for export only*, it will not have any influence on the speed of import whatsoever.
