export files location

When I'm running an export on a database, where does this file get created, or where does it reside. Whats the default location, so I can move it over to another server and import it.

Hi,
The export.dmp file will be there in the same folder where u have exported unless u have given some other place to store. U can move it to other location also. But u should specify where the file is located. I have trioed it in testing environment in Windows NT. But I dont know about Unix. So if u could tell me whether ur working in Unix or NT.

I found it. didn't bother to look at the directory where i ran the exp command. i'm on unix.
