Thread: A strange answer

    Question

    I was reading one of the oracle examples on the net and I found out the answer for the question below is odd, can anyone have a look at this and verify the answer:

    20. An index named CUSTOMER_IDX is created with a storage parameters INITIAL of 100K, NEXT of 100K, MINEXTENTS of 2, MAXEXTENTS of 5, and PCTINCREASE of 50. What will be the size of the 4th extent?

    A. 100K B. 150K C. 228K D. 342K


    ANSWER: C


    In my opinion I think the answer is 225 K, I don't know where they get 228 K plse help me out. Thanks

    thats only according to your calculation but the actual allocation is a nearest multiple of os block size hence look for the nearest answer always
