    Question

    Hi
I've just finished my BS in CIS and now I want to be an OCP DBA, but don't have any prior knowledge about ORACLE DBA.
So is there anybody who can guide me that how I should start my preparation for the OCP DBA exams. Should I go to any class or I can prepare on my own and what are the good books and materials available for the test preparation.
    Please e-mail me at sy0026@hotmail.com
I would really appreciate if you guys please help me.

    Thanks.

If you have a broadband connection to the internet, download Oracle 8i database and install it.

Many community colleges offer courses in Oracle administration. Get the Oracle Press 8i OCP DBA book and work through it.

Get a job somewhere that uses Oracle, and weasel your way into working on that system somehow; nothing beats hands on experience.
