TABLE COUNT

Can someone tell me if theres a sql command that I can run that will tell me exactly how many tables are in my database?

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM DBA_TABLES;

Hi Please Issue this
exec dbms_utility.analyze_schema('yourschemaname','compute');

Then
Select count(*) from dba_tables
where row_num = 0;
