    Question

I have to run an Oracle database in Win98 (486, pentium 133, etc), but i don´t know which
Oracle8i database is the best choice (personal Oracle8i/Oracle8i lite).
The application will run in remotes sites with replication (bi-directional) and the central database run in AIX 4.3 (8i v8.1.6).

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks a lot,

    Valentin

Go for the 8i lite. The 8i personal I beleive to have been riped to the min. This is only a suggestion, b'cos, I haven't had a chance to play with either of them.

I will give to you another direction : IF you are NOT attached to Win, in the same hardware (maybe with a little more RAM) go for LINUX : you will be able to run a more full blown version, with replication and some other nice things (and it will be much more scalable, too).
