After connecting from a workstation to SERVER A, and begin to import on to SERVER A,
can I open another window in the same SERVER A and do other stuff, and also open other
windows on the PC(client) and do other stuff(not oracle related)
and it will not impact the import?

If I understand you correctly, yes, you can do anything, just do not close the window where you see the import being done, else the import will terminate.
