    Red face

    hai friends,

    I have a small doubt,

Please clarify me. I hope I can get it.
    thank u.
    ____

By using forms 6i, I restrict the user by enetering(in a text item) other than A..Z and 0..10 characters.

for ex: I dont want to enter characters like * & # / ., etc.

But in VB it is possible by using ASCII codes.

Please let me know how can i restrict in Forms 6i.

    thanks a lot,

I checked the item property 'Format Mask'
but it will only work for either alphabate ('A')
    or for number('9').
you can mix format mask for fixed position
    for e.g. AAAA99
in above masking first 4 digit you can enter alphab.
    and 5,6th numeric.

for your requiement, I think, you have to write
    procedure.
