    I did'nt work much with OWS/OAS.
So please help me with below issues.

1.Migrate OWS 3.0 to OAS 4.0.8.2 on Sun Solaris, current database is on Oracle 8.0.5,But planning to urgrade to 8i in near future.(OWS and Database is currently residing on two different Sun Servers)

2.Whether Oracle 8.0.5 Database can work with OAS 4.0.8

Please let me know,If you came across any article regarding this on metalink/Oracle Technet/Oracle Magazine other than documentaion.

    Thanks
    Rich

There are some glitches in the OAS 4.0.8.2. It at times would drop the connections and then you have to restart it. And one of the other problems I'm having now is that the OAS listeners wouldn't start after I did an upgrade on oracle. It might be the case on mine, b'cos I have both oas and oracle living on the same machine. It might not be a problem on your case. These were some of the problems I had and having with OAS. Try it on the test site and put it through a vigorus test before you open it for the production.

Did you get to try the iAS, which is the upgrade of OAS, and that seems to be stable at this point.

    Good luck,
    Sam
    Thanx
