regarcing control file(urgent)

Just now I installed oracle 8i on NT
but it is giving error that control files are not identified
Pls. help me this too much urgent

Hi,
The problem may be that the destination for the controlfiles may be errornously defined in ur init.ora (parameter) file.
Check the CONTROL_FILES parameter in init.ora file and in case of any doubts please contact me at
