    urgent

    Hi guys,

    Whenver i execute an erraneous stmt from client end, that session gets killed, i don't know whats the reason, but on the other hand, if there is no error in the stmt, the results are correct. If anybody suggest me some facts regarding this, it would be great!!

    Do you have anything like the following in your script :

    whenever sqlerror exit failure

    Do you get any kind of error message on this regard? If not check the network log for information, which can be found at $ORACE_HOME/network/admin or log there check the sqlnet.log or listener.log. If you cannot find the reason, set the trace on and execute the statment and check your trace file for details. Some time you might be able to get information (if it was some kind of database issue) from alert_log of that instance present at $ORACLE_BASE/admin/sid/bdump/alert_sid.log
