I agree with Rohit, No one owns the Role.

If I don't have a choice to answer "NO ONE OWNS THE ROLE", I will prefer to use Creator of the role. Bacause, If I create the role, no one else can grant it except SYS.

    Hi,
I just took a quick look at Oracle 8 Admin TBT materials ...it specifically points out that one of the characteristics a role is that it's not owned by anyone and it's not in any schema.

    Thanks!

Thanks everybody for the answer. I forget the one that is the answer. I think no one owes a role.
By the Way, in my test: if A create a role B with Admin option
B created a role C. If A drop B cascade, will the role be dropped. I made the mistake in this question after reviewing your answers above. The role will remain, am I right? Thanks for your anwer.
