    Question

    Hi Guys,

I just want to ask what are the things that needs to be consider in estimating the size of SGA (System Global Area) for a new database? Normally I make the adjustment once the database is running. I look at the OEM performance monitor and base from there I make adjustment on the init.ora parameters.

Suppose I have a single box and I have to create several oracle instances, What things do I need to consider and what formula to use to compute SGA?

    Thanks,

    Perez

It depends upon the version of Oracle you will be using. Follow this link.
