Thread: (grant trouble) user wants to edit other user's package

    i granted execute on a packge to another user, but this other user wants to be able to edit the package body. is that possible?? how do i do that?? i granted the execution privilege to the role and also tried granting directly to the user... please help!!

    can't you just grant alter procedure to the user?

    i granted alter any procedure to the user and still can't even see the package body.
    any other idea?? please....

    since the package is owned by another user, I think you need to grant 'alter any procedure' to the user that is going to edit it. Or possibly 'create any procedure', since the command to change a procedure starts with the word 'create', not 'alter'
