its me again
as u said ...set oracle_sid =db_new name
and connect internal then what next ...don't know a thing about this ...and if i set the oracle_sid to new dbname that means that i'm not gonna able to access the oracle default database ....i'm tryng to have access both database
how am i gonna able to do that ...

To enter the server manager of the default db, you need not use 'set' or 'export'. This is only used to enter into the server manager of the newly created db, since its not the default db. After connecting internally, you can startup the db, using the command: startup pfile=full_path_name_of_init.ora or you can shutdown the db using the command: shutdown immediate.
