    Question

    Does anyboby use the OCOPY exe to copy database file and if yes is it a good idea?

    Sure ocopy is a good idea, especially if you are doing hot backups.

    If your database is running NT/Windows 2000, then you have to use OCOPY to copy a data file from one place to another, when the tablespace is begin backup mode.
    You can not use COPY command.
