    Hi everyone,

    I have a problem with setting the remote-os-authentication = true, because this means the anybody with the same user name from any remote machine will be able to log into oracle with their unix password. I don't want this.

    Is there any way I can control the user access from only from certain hosts to log into oracle without the password?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Can anybody tell me if Oracle 'Advanced Networking Option' will be the solution for this problem?
