Will defragmenting segments in the tablespaces increase the FSFI of the tablespaces too? If you export all the tables and import them in order to defragment the objects in the tablespace, will that also inrease the FSFI of the tablespace?

    thanks,

if you export a tablespace contents then import into another tablespace (or recreating the old tablespace) you will get FSFI 100
If you do export at table level you probably improve a bit FSFI depending on your extents sizing, if the size is uniform you would perfectly fit the import into empty extents and reuse them. However bear in mind that FSFI is based at tablespace level.

Do I need to export and import all the tables in the given tablespace at the same time to get FSFI to be 100 or near 100. Or I can choose to do the export and import of say five tables, then later on in the day export and import another five tables, and so on?
Or it does not really matter?
