Thread: LOCATION OF ORACLE DATABASE ON UNIX SYSTEM

    When running the export utility in unix what directory do I need to be in? And where will the *.dmp file be stored on the Unix so I can copy it from the system??

    If you don't specify a path, the .dmp file will be in the current directory. You need to be in a directory that you have permission to write in.
