    Unhappy

    how do i connectas sysdba,
    i have tried the following
    connect sys/change_on_install as sysdba;
    but it is giving a error
    INVALID PASSWORD LOGON DENIED

    but when again i connect with
    connect sys/change _on_install;
    it is connecting to oracle

    If not, you have a password file setup. Your user id needs sydba privileges. you have to grant sysdba privileges to the userid you are connecting to.
