We are currently running Oracle 8i on a Sun Ultra Sparc 450 thats running two production databases and two test databases each are about 4 - 5 GIG. This system resides at our headquarters location.

The second location we will implement a second server which will be a intel based system running Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Oracle 8i. We are going with a Windows 2000 platform to keep the cost to a minimum and ease of administration.

I'm looking for a replication solution that will allow me to replicate between Windows 2000 and Unix. I've already looked up a couple of companies that offer nice solutions.

1. Data Mirror Inc- Transformation Server Software .
2. Information Transport Associates - Sync Smart Software


If anyone have any experience with the products I listed above or any other solutions please let me know
