Installation instructions? We are talking here about import/export.

    Actually the answer is simple:

THERE IS NO UNCOMPRESS parameter because
    YOU DON'T NEED TO UNCOMPRESS.

If you use the compress parameter while exporting (whether you use expdp or exp) during import Oracle will recognize itself that the file is compressed during export.

Only if the file would be zipped then you would have to unzip it.

In this case the problem lies in the userrights on the disk D:

MP-00030: failed to create file d:\123.txt for write as the directory where the logfile should be written is not write-accessible for the user who is performing the import. If Oracle can not write the logfile then it stops the import.

If you try to import a file that is created by using exp and you try to import it by impdp the you will get the error:
    ORA-39000: bad dump file specification.

You were right about the fact that westcoast43 should check his userrights on the disk or else make sure that he has a disk on which he can write a logfile.
