I know you guys are thinking this is strange!!! Yes, it strange...
Every one goes in upward direction we are going in down ward direction..
I would like to know that, is there any way I can go from 8.1.5 to 8.0.5
Please let me know.
There is a downgrade process ( http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle8i/doc_library/817_doc/server.817/a86632/migdowng.htm#15124 ). I have used it a couple of times and always ended up with a corrupt data dictionary. Any other experiences?
I am downgrading from 8.1.5 to 8.0.5, do I need to run script like catlg803.sql for 805
because I don't see any script like catlg805.sql.
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Copy the following files from the ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin directory to a directory outside of Oracle home,
such as the temporary directory on your system:
catlg803.sql (if you are downgrading to release 8.0.3)
