Application tuning
Dear DBAs,
please share me some real time application performance tuning scenario , what SQL tuning issues you have faced and how did you solve or give me links or books name which can help me.i know
AWR,ADDM ,statpack ,explain plan ,CBO optimizer concepts, but here in our environment i don't get any real time application performance problems. As per my experience, i am being asked a lot of questions from application (SQL) tunifg in interviews.
Thanks a lot in advance

Not a single one? good for you!
Here is my personal query tuning guide in three easy steps:
1- Reduce the number of buffer_gets
2- Reduce the number of buffer_gets even more
3- Make sure you have done everything that you could do to reduce the number of buffer_gets
Hope this helps.

I concur!!! Reduce logical IO and the query will both perform better and your application will scale to a larger number of users.
