Thread: how can i put password to listener

    Question

    i have a problem of security, any user can stop the listener in Solaris, in release 7.3.x, 8 and 8i, i can restrict them by OS, but i know the listener may have a password, how can i do it?

    use LSNRCTL commands

    To save you from searching in the documetation... Start lsnrct from your command prompt. then isue:

    "SET PASSWORD my_pwd"
