rman backup notification

Hi,

How to setup email notification on rman backup completion.

This can be done by OEM, but Do I need to do configuration on Operating system level, we have red hat linux 5.

You can use: perl, mail, mailx, sendmail, mutt, python (probably), etc to send an email. You just have to add that to your backup shell script. If you run the backup directly as OEM, just change it to run a shell script on the server in cron. There are likely many examples of backup scripts online.
