    Question ASM in non RAC

    Hi,
Can I create a database called 'PROD' in ASM and have 2 instances (NON RAC) access the same database ? The instances are for 2 different application requiring the database 'PROD'.

Yes, but only if you give it a better name.

As long as these "instances" are not "database instances" but rather application server (middle-tier) instances -- yes.
