    Import is killing command prompt

I am working on a database (9i) restoration which requires the use of the export/import utility. In my test environment everything works fine without issue. When I went to use the same import script in my production/live environment I can cut and paste the script into the command prompt and the table is imported correctly. But then I cannot cut and paste another script - the command prompt seems to freeze and the server needs to be restarted to be able to import another table. Has anyone had this issue???

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Due to the fact we cannot see what you are doing and our crystal ball is not working today, we can only speculate on the possibilities:

    1) Your cut and paste inserts CR (or LF) in wrapped lines causing a break where there should be none.
    2) Your script has quote(s) missing the(ir) closing pair.
    3) You execute an sql script that does not have "exit" command and it's waiting for input.
    4) Oracle rdbms does not like your data and cuts you off.
    5) Pick any other random reason.
