    Monitoring alert log

    Hi All,

    Am new to the Toad.I want to monitor alert log file using the Toad.Can any one let me know the way to monitor the Alert log file.

    I wouldn't use Toad - not even know if you can do it.

    I would - and I do - open a TTY session then "tail -f100 youralertlogfilename" and keep the TTY window open forever in a corner of my screen.

    If you do like GUI interfases why not use dbconsole or grid control?
