    RMAN configuration ASM DB

    We are having oracle 11g database with ASM. I want to configure RMAN for this database having catalog on Non-ASM Database.

    Is it possible to configure like this.

    Why does it matter if the RMAN catalog uses ASM or not? If you are backing up a database that uses ASM, then you must use RMAN. Where that RMAN catalog's database files are stored is not relevant.
