    Need information on Oracle Client

    Hi,

    I am supposed to test my application with remote oracle.
    On speaking with few people, I got to know that the syatem in which I'm going to install my application should have an Oracle client installed..
    But I do not know what Oracle client is and what is the purpose of using it..

    most of the applications use oracle client to connect to database. That is one of the connect methods. Request your DBA to install Oracle client in app server and configure tnsnames.
